Honey Walnut Salad Dressing

Salad Dressing

Simple Honey Walnut Dressing

This salad dressing is quick to make and delicious when paired with a spinach and romaine lettuce salad with cherry tomatoes and sprinkled feta or goat cheese.

This recipe takes approximately 15 minutes to make, primarily due to the frying of the walnuts, but will stay in the fridge or counter for several weeks.

You can enjoy this recipe year round and try it with your favorite dinner salad.

Raw Honey Walnut Salad Dressing

This is a simple salad dressing recipe that is great with a dinner salad or spinach. I like to add feta cheese to the salads I pair this with as it adds a splash of rich flavors to the salad and raw honey dressing.

Frying the Walnuts

  • ¼ Cup Olive Oil- for cooking walnuts
  • ½ Cup Crushed Walnuts

For Honey Dressing

  1. Cook-Heat up a pan to medium heat with 1/4 cup cooking olive oil. Before oil hits smoke point add 1/2 cup crushed walnuts and fry for 3-5 minutes. Then take pan off heat and allow oil and nuts to cool in another heat proof container or in the cooking pan. Mix-Use a mason jar with lid or similar to combine a:-1/2 cup of olive oil-2 1/2 tablespoons fo raw honey-1/4 cup of balsamic glazeShake vigorously with lid on mason jar. Then add the additional olive oil with cooked walnuts if below 105ºF to mason jar and shake vigorously for another 1-2 minutes. Then, pour 3-6 tablespoons of the raw honey salad dressing to your favorite salad mixture and top with feta cheese or similar.

It's best to let the oil and walnuts cool down to 104ºF or cooler for 10-15 min. before mixing with honey to preserve the raw honey benefits. Use a digital meat thermometer to determine its temperature.
